Ren Faire Wrap Up



MIRF was amazing. I managed to get almost no pictures myself. Way to go me. But I have "borrowed" some from Jean and Pete, some of our Ohio faire friends. I officially need to get some better pics of myself in garb, which will be my challenge for this weekend, as we are going to Ohio Renaissance Festival on Monday, since it's a holiday weekend. That is awesome! I just went to the Minnesota ren fest for bellydance weekend & they've never had that tradition. Their wenches usually have crazy hair, fake missing teeth, and a propensity to kidnap prospective young bachelors. :) Have fun at the ORF!

Mad Tea Party 2011

Welcome to my Party!! Feel free to grab a cup and a chair.  The table is set and waiting.  Pretty veggies... All kinds of berries... The tea service awaiting the first guests... Zoe looks frightened...she doesn't trust mad people (how does she live with me? lol) I am all dressed up and ready to party.  With my cupcake socks.  And my tiny top hat (received in an Alice swap)  Cupcakes, Berries and are those cucumber sandwiches.  Pouring the tea for my party guests.  Berries, Candy and a full cup o tea.  Quoi??  Having a chat with my very mad Mother.  My Mothers amazing tea hat.  4 pots of tea consumed hundreds of laughs  good friends lots of food What a fabulous party!!  Thank you for stopping by, have a fabulous tea day.  Clean cup, move down. Betsy's Gypsy Dreams

When I was a little girl I would sit on my front porch reading and dreaming that the gypsies would come to take me away. I loved the music, dancing, color and whimsy of the gypsy. Their spirit spoke of freedom that my mid-western soul could not help but envy. I wanted to run away and find my place among those beautiful people.  And as an adult I still do. I love to dress in what I think of a a gypsy style.
