Things to share...

Many awesome things have been happening recently, and I have made some awesome acquisitions as well as crafted some very cool things. I thought I would take a few minutes to share some of them.

First off I was a lucky lucky girl and won a recent giveaway by the lovely Vannesa at A Fanciful Twist. She is making these amazing bracelets using fabric scraps and bits of yarn and I won one of them. Yay. I got it in the mail this morning, and I love it. It's crazy and bright and makes my day.

The pictures don't do it justice it is so dynamic. I am going to make myself some more of them too. Cause I like this one so much. :)

We also acquired a new piece for our dining room recently. It is actually a bedroom chest of drawers given to us by Seth's brother and sister-in-law because they didn't have room for it in their new apartment. I decided that it should be in our dining room to be a bar and storage area. I like it there already. We even have our wine glasses and shot glasses in one of the drawers there. Very handy.

I have been working in and around my craft room a lot lately, and had reached a conundrum. I needed a way to store all the bottles of craft paint I have so that I could see the colors and get them off of my craft spaces. Ideally I wanted one of those wire spinning racks that so many people have, but you know that when I wanted one I could not find one anywhere, not even online, sigh. So I decided to find something else. I have a crazy amount of vintage suitcases in my house because I love them and I am addicted to "things to put things in", and I decided to find a way to use one to make myself a paint holder. I took the suitcase and screwed it into the wall, and pretty much it just went from there. I decided to turn the front into a chalkboard, as I had some paint left from a craft I was making for a swap. Here is the final outcome.

It isn't perfect, but it is cute and it serves it's purpose. :) I'm rather fond of it already.

Here are a couple more shots of my craft space and some of the miscellany therein.

The space is coming along. :) Back to crafting. More soon on swaps and pieces I have crafted recently.

Thanks. I think it turned out really well. :)
Hey Betsy! Congrats on winning the giveaway :) You have to share the one you make and take lots of pics.

That new storage/buffet looks very good, it even seems like it has an antique feeling! i wish I had space to get a piece like that. It would be storage heaven! lol

Love your creative storage solution :)
Hoooray! So delighted that you loved your bracelet!! ;)

ps: Your new chest of drawers as a buffet server/credenza is fantastic!

Thanks for the comments all. I think the chest as a buffet is going to be one of my new favorite things. It is already coming in handy.

I am wearing my bracelet a bunch and am hoping to make myself a couple soon. :)
