Tying-the-Knot Tuesdays

Image
Saturday Seth and I, accompanied by Mark and Sarah (Seth's parents) and my mom and sister, went back to Buckeye Winery in Newark to bottle the wine we made for the wedding. We had a seriously good time. The bottling process was fun, but I kept being afraid I would over fill. Their auto corker was broken, so we used a manual corker that was honestly so fun that I was not sad about the broken equipment. The labels we chose turned out beautiful, and we got to label them all. We ended up with 30 bottles of each flavor of wine, so 60 bottles total. That was more than we expected, and will work out perfectly for us.

My mom came over the other day with the mock up of my jacket for over my dress, and it is amazing, so I cannot wait to see the real thing. Here is the mock up over my dress.

Of course the actual jacket will be made of this fabric.

I am going to be mailing out the invitations this week, and then we are really rolling. 75 days to go.

Life goes on and on...

My classes are keeping me buzzing, and my blog is taking the biggest hit for that. So if you were wondering that's where I have been. Writing essays like a fiend, 4 in the last 4 weeks.

I also have done some fun things, or set up fun things to happen.

I got tickets to see Beats Antique as they make their way to Columbus on tour. My bellydance comrades and I are going to rock that house.

I also bought tickets to see Amanda Palmer and the Grand Theft Orchestra in November in Chicago. It will kind of be our honeymoon.
This weekend upcoming (the 21st) Mom, Shmoo, Janet, Sherb and I are doing The Color Run here in Columbus. The concept is that every K of the 5 K they pelt you with pigment. So you wear white and become super colorful as you go. I am really excited and will hopefully have some great photos.
This weekend past was the celebration of my baby sister turning 21, which was way more traumatic than turning 30. We went to Dave and Buster's and drank and played. Then on Sunday…

What I did for the 4th of July

I am so crazy right now with classes that I can not think. Argh. But on the 4th I got a day off from work and class, so I went to the 29th annual Doo Dah Parade here in Columbus. The parade is usually fairly left wing, and very fun and free spirited. Here are some of the sights.
